Practice Manager Study Day – 16th September 2010
The event
The Practice Manager Study Day (click here for full programme) is a one-day event open to Practice Managers and Assistant Practice Managers working across the UK. The event has originally been run as a Leicestershire-wide event since the late 1990s but for the first time in 2010 the study day has been opened up to all primary care staff. Delegates will listen to expert speakers, visit relevant exhibitors and participate in two separate hour-long key skills workshops.
The speakers
A fantastic line-up of speakers has been assembled. Speakers have been asked to deliver short, snappy presentations that will conclude with the opportunity for delegates to ask relevant questions. Highlights will include Fiona Stephenson providing practices with vital information on how to register with the Care Quality Commission, Paul Samrah providing guidance on how practices can boost their income and Jacqui Smith detailing an innovative local approach to training and education in Nottingham. Keynote speaker and successful businesswoman, Kavita Oberoi (pictured) will bring the event to a close.
The workshops:
Delegates who attend this study day won’t be allowed to sit back and go to sleep! We have assembled three excellent workshop leaders who will change the way that you think and manage! Andy Cope (pictured) is a self-professed ‘training junkie’ and bestselling author who will give you his unique ideas on how to lead effectively. Kim Campion is a trained homeopath and she will be leading a workshop entitled ‘How to deal with stress’ and AP Partnership Ltd will be leading a workshop on all matters relating to employment law. Delegates choose to attend two workshops out of three and your first and second choices are guaranteed!
The venue:
The study day will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Leicester. The hotel is situated 3 miles from Leicester city centre, just off junction 21 of the M1. The hotel is just 25 minutes drive from Nottingham East Midlands airport and there is free car parking at the venue. The study day is exceptional value for money at £140 inclusive of VAT. The cost of the conference includes parking, refreshments/meals and a comprehensive delegate pack.
